Life drawing day! Today I tried to focus on flow again, and seems to be working well but there was allot of crap. The 3 to the left are really the only ones I like of about 30 :P The ones below I used some colored paper and a white conte' for light. The fabrics really pop with this technique.

Grotesque charactures. The relation of these could be anything, but maybe the top character is one of dominance the 2nd is one of submissive and the bottom, well some kind of morbid thing  with females. Curious non?

Mondays!   Today is my life drawing session, and even better there was a new model . My style is still working on my flow, and proportions. My thoughts are to get a bigger pencil and go a little larger, on possibly a toothy manilla. Then I could detail the face better. Or ! Sometime this year I will get that ASUS tablet and go digital then all I will have to do is zoom in :)

  

building a building

 A little more progress on what is still to be named. Working title will be "Fortress" for now. The title implies that this is something military, but I'm not so sure of that direction.
The plan might be some mock-ups when I get more building block elements prepared.

Busy on my new website, but found some time for a some 1 min gestures. I like the one re-worked so I blew it up.
 Line quality has definitely improved, I know this because I was taking a look back @ some drawing from a few months ago and the lines had no quality at all.
Yes I'm getting better! :)

 Random focus today. The 30 sec all sucked so I erased most of them.
The challenge was: My new pencil vs photoshop, and In the process tune my PS brush as I worked with the conte' pencil. Trying to to hold my wacom pen the same way I hold the pencil.
They are close , and it's really hard to say which one I liked better. There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods.

Today was not too eventful. All I really could focus on was some random characters from imagination, this was fun and relaxing.
The 2nd is one page from this little doodle book which I started carrying around with me, using ballpoint, pencils whatever I can get my hands on

 Yea! Back in my weekly life drawing class. New attitude, new pencil. I've even changed the way I hold my pencil. Some of the proportions are off ,but not too much, and the lines have a little more quality to them. I think everything looks messy, but more flow and they are all workable.
